January 31, 2017, Bannockburn, Illinois - IPC - The International Electronics Industry Connection Institute® today released the December 2016 PCB Industry Survey Report for North America. The report shows a steady increase in December PCB shipments, but orders shipments fell to 0.98.
 
Total PCB shipments in North America in December 2016 increased 5.9 percent year-over-year and year-to-date shipments grew 2.9 percent, while shipments increased 12.3 percent in December from a year earlier. .
 
North American PCB orders in 2016, down 2.2% in December, resulting in orders for the year-to-date growth rate of -0.7%; compared with last month, orders in December increased by 11.6%.
 
"In December, PCB sales and orders in North America were up on a year-on-year basis, but orders were still below last year's level," said Sharon Starr, IPC's director of market research.
