    Q: what are the conditions for PCB high temperature and humidity test? Is there any standard? What are the specifications of insulation resistance and insulation withstand voltage of PCB?


    Answer: please refer to the IPC-TM-650 and JDEC specifications, and they will present different testing standards for different types of products. For example: -25~125, two atmospheric pressure, 168 hours, etc.. Product testing standards change with usage characteristics. Because of the rapid changes in electronic products, many functions and reliability requirements change with each other. Therefore, in order to improve the competitiveness and reduce production costs, different manufacturers, in addition to follow the norms, large manufacturers at the same time put forward their own requirements, specifications and testing methods. For many consumer electronics products, the relaxation of specifications to reduce costs is another visible trend worth noting.


    As for the product's voltage resistance, it also varies according to the product category and the use of the manufacturer. Common requirement values, such as 500V, are typical voltage resistance values that are common in system product class circuit boards. But the products really need the withstand voltage of how much value, or must be clearly defined and several manufacturers do. Most of these tests are used to test material functionality and are not used in actual product testing.
